Over the past two years, the regulators AHPRA and the TGA have increasingly applied more rules around what can and can’t be advertised and offered on cosmetic websites and social media. From March 7th 2024, it was clarified by the TGA that certain previously accepted methods of communicating with patients and marketing are now illegal.

The main changes that you will notice include:​

• Price lists can no longer be advertised for any treatment requiring a script (prices can still be discussed in person or over the phone)
• Specific treatment options can no longer be advertised
• No before and after images can be advertised on websites or social media
